What is CBD drip?
CBD drip is (concentrated) cannabidiol oil for vaping or direct consumption. It comes from industrial hemp and not from the cannabis plant. It doesn’t get you high and is completely legal worldwide.
The three ways of using CBD drip
- Twice a day a couple (1-3) drops of CBD drip under your tongue.
- Use a vaporizer pen or device by vaporizing the undiluted concentrated CBD drip.
- When you are using e-liquids or e-juices, you can add a couple of drips of CBD concentrated drip oil.
For general health issues, a dose of 2,5 to 15 mg daily is recommended.
Hemp vs Cannabis – CBD vs THC
CBD and THC are some of the many components of Hemp and Cannabis. They are actually pretty much the largest components of these two plants. However, there is a significant difference.
Industrial hemp contains a large CBD concentration and very little THC. THC is, by the way, the cannabis component that gets you high. Because the concentration of THC in industrial hemp is below the legal limit of 0,3%, it is completely legal and doesn’t cause any psychotropic effects, but on the contrary, has some significant health benefits.
Cannabis can be considered the opposite of industrial hemp in terms of CBD and THC ratio. It has a large concentration of THC and a small concentration of CBD. Cannabis, therefore, gets you high but has fewer health benefits than industrial hemp.
Concentrated CBD vape supplement
CBD drip is derived from the industrial hemp plant, which has a large CBD concentration already. The result is a highly concentrated pure CBD product. Only a couple of drops are to be added to your e-liquid or e-juice etc.
By heating up the liquid that contains CBD, mostly oil or e-liquid, the CBD vaporizes along with the liquid, for inhalation.
Advantages of vaping
Because it is not burned the vapes are clean and do not contain the harmful byproducts of burned components like when smoking. It also shows a quicker effect than digested doses as it does not have to go through your digestive system.
How does CBD interact with your body?
The human body has a so-called endocannabinoid system with neuroreceptors throughout the brain and body. These receptors, divided into two groups: CB1 and CB2, react to the endocannabinoids produced by your body and are responsible for regulating, amongst others, mood, pain sensation, memory, and appetite.
Health benefits of CBD
CBD is a supplement cannabinoid that supports the endocannabinoids already produced by your body and is a completely natural product. In case your body produces not enough endocannabinoids and you suffer from for example:
the CBD supplement will bring this back to its natural level, solving the problem without any chemicals, like often found in pharmaceutical medicine.
When you suffer from excessive pain, due to an accident or for whatever reason, your endocannabinoid level might be OK, but it is not enough to keep the pain signals entering your brain low enough. That is the natural protection system of our body. By raising the endocannabinoid level, however, your pain toleration is increased and makes your situation more bearable.
We just mentioned a few neuroreceptors that are positively influenced by CDB. And because CDB does not directly, but indirectly, influence the CB1 and CB2 reflectors, unlike THC, you don’t get high from using it.
Other ways of consuming CBD
Besides vaping or sublingual (under your tongue) consumption there are quite a few other ways of consuming CBD. CBD oil and CBD vape oil are the most popular products. But there are more and more CBD edibles available on the market, one of the more popular being CBD gummies.
CBD tincture can be mixed with e-liquids or food like drip and CBD crystals and CBD isolate are a fraction short of pure CBD. If you like taking CBD the way you are used to taking regular medication, there are also CBD pills on the market.
Young people often consume CBD in the form of wax. CBD wax and CBD dabs are quite popular amongst them. A real trendsetter, however, is CBD water that is becoming rapidly a more trendy alternative to soda drinks.
Just like pharmaceutical medication, regular skin care and skin medication are chemically produced, with lots of side effects, up to scarring. Therefore CBD skin care products are doing so well, that even large chains like The Body Shop are selling them now. And if you are using CBD products and feeling the health benefits, why don’t you have your pets benefit from CBD for pets?
