“CBD dosage”. Isn’t that the main question of anyone looking for cannabidiol information? Don’t worry it is not difficult and because there is no overdose risk or negative CBD side effects, you don’t need to be meticulous about dosing CBD.
A daily dosage of 15-20 mg of cannabidiol, three times a day ( for example 5 mg in the morning, 5 mg in the afternoon and 5 mg in the evening) is recommended to maintain your health, take advantage of CBDs health benefits and treat minor pains and or other medical complaints. However, the more serious your condition is, the larger the dosage needs to be and the longer you need to take it.
The steps to properly dose CBD:
Start with 20 mg a day
If you notice the desired effect, continue this dosage
No desired effect? Double the dosage
Got the desired effect? Continue this dosage until symptoms relief
Not the desired effect? Again, double the dosage and so on…
Did you know that never in the thousands of years of cannabis use, there has ever been recorded a single death?
Because of this and because we are all different and react differently to cannabidiol, you need to figure out by testing what dosage is best for your (serious) medical condition by gently increasing your dosage. But we can say that people with severe migraines, for example, have reported complete relief of their headaches by regularly taking 40-50 mg per day.
CBD is also used as a supportive supplement with regular cancer treatment but also with cannabis cancer treatment. It helps patients that suffer from pain, always accompanying cancer, to feel better and it reduces nausea and vomiting as well.
In cases of supportive CBD cancer treatment, patients have reported using 100 – 150 mg per day and feeling much better. This is why we recommend to get the 6 month supply as it’s a much better CBD oil value and you will need it during the treatment. That’s why we recommend CBDPure as the best CBD oil for cancer.

“A lethal cannabis (THC) overdose is impossible because cannabinoid receptors, unlike opioid receptors, are not located in the brainstem areas controlling breathing.” – National Cancer Institute
Of course, the same is true for CBD hemp with the major difference of CBD not being psychoactive, thus not impairing your behavior.
How long does it take for CBD to work?
The time it takes before CBD starts working depends on many factors, like your body/metabolism, the consumption method and the strength/potency of the CBD dosage. Everyone knows that we are all different and differently react to medication, supplements etc. and this a parameter that we anyway cannot influence.
The potency of the CBD dosage mainly influences the strength of the effects but also has a slight effect on the time it takes to feel the effects. The stronger your dosage, the quicker the effects appear. However, the CBD consumption method determines to a much larger amount how soon you will feel the effects of cannabidiol.
Vaping / Smoking
The quickest effect of cannabidiol is reached by vaping or smoking. Within a couple of minutes, you will be able to feel the effects already, which last for a couple of hours. Besides that, the amount of CBD absorbed by your body (Bioavailability) is higher than sublingual consumption.
This consumption method is less fast than vaping and the body absorption (Bioavailability) is also slightly less. You will feel the effects in about 20 to 30 minutes and they last a little longer than when vaping, aproximately 4 to 6 hours.
Taking cannabidiol through your digestive system, like edibles, CBD pills, CBD water etc. will give you the slowest effect lead time and the lowest body absorption. In general, you would feel the effects only in one hour after taking your dosage which will last for minimum 4 hours. By taking CBD on an empty stomach you can decrease the effect time to perhaps 20 minutes if you have a healthy metabolism.
